Brook trout are available most of the year, with sizes ranging from 4 to 10 inches. We recommend stocking in spring or fall for best survival. Orders can be picked-up at the hatchery or delivered to your pond.

Mountain Springs maintains its' own brood-fish program. Breeders are hand selected in order to obtain the best traits, such as growth, color, and disease resistance. Routine screening for diseases takes place during all aspects of growth such as spawning, and continues throughout the life cycle until fish leave the hatchery. Screening is conducted by qualified fish health labs, and we continually test at levels that exceed government mandated minimum requirements.

In recent years, Mountain Springs has taken a proactive approach toward environmental stewardship. The very nature of our business requires us to be provide our fish with the best possible conditions; one is clean water.

With that in mind, we have taken steps to protect the environment around us by implementing best management practices, installing effluent treatment systems, such as in tank solids removal, vegetated ditches, and settling ponds.
